Supermicro

Servers and storage built to measure, from modular building blocks.

Who Supermicro is

Super Micro Computer, Supermicro for short, was founded in 1993 in San Jose, California, by Charles Liang, who still leads it. It builds servers, storage and network equipment, from a small office server to complete data centres. In the financial year to June 2026 its net sales were 39.1 billion dollars.

Supermicro manufactures in the United States, Taiwan and the Netherlands. In ‘s-Hertogenbosch it has a European campus for production, testing and service.

What Supermicro does differently

Building blocks instead of fixed models

Instead of one fixed model, Supermicro works with reusable building blocks: chassis, processor, memory, storage, networking and power. From those we build a server that fits exactly what has to run on it, without paying for what you do not need.

Lasting longer

Components can be replaced or expanded separately. A server thus grows with your business, instead of having to be replaced all at once.

From small to large

For SMEs too: compact tower servers for under the desk, rack servers for the network cabinet, and systems for storage and backup.

Why we work with Supermicro

  • Servers built to measure, at an honest price.
  • Solid hardware with a long life.
  • Production and service in Europe.

How Q-Ware uses Supermicro

Where your own server is needed, for files, industry software or virtualisation, we put together a Supermicro server to measure, install it and keep it up to date. See Servers & cloud and Hardware & software.

Frequently asked questions

Why not a server from a better-known brand?

That is possible too. Supermicro gives more freedom to tune the server to what has to run on it, and that can work out cheaper. We advise case by case.

What about warranty and service?

Supermicro has a European campus for production and service in the Netherlands. We follow up warranty and replacements for you.
